Job Summary Batteries Northwest is seeking a skilled Auto Parts Rebuilder & E-Commerce Specialist to join our team in Salem. This position offers a unique 50/50 split between hands-on automotive rebuilding/electrical repair work and managing our online parts catalog and e-commerce sales. If you are a mechanic or auto electrician who also enjoys computer work, product photography, and digital sales, this role provides an ideal balance of shop time and desktop operations. Key Responsibilities Auto Rebuilding & Electrical Repair (50%) Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and rebuild automotive parts and electrical components to quality standards. Perform diagnostics and interpret wiring schematics/diagrams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults. Safely operate shop power tools, testing benches, and diagnostic equipment. Conduct bench testing and quality assurance checks on finished rebuilds prior to listing. E-Commerce & Online Sales (50%) Clean, stage, and photograph rebuilt and salvaged parts for online store listings. Create detailed, accurate product listings including OEM part numbers, vehicle fitment data, condition reports, and technical descriptions. Upload listings to e-commerce platforms and keep inventory counts up to date. Respond to customer inquiries regarding technical specifications and part compatibility. Electrical Experience:
Hands-on experience as a mechanic, auto electrician, or parts rebuilder.
E-Commerce Experience:
Prior experience creating online product listings, managing digital inventory, or working with e-commerce platforms.
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to read automotive wiring diagrams, use diagnostic tools, and accurately identify vehicle components.
Computer & Photography Skills:
Comfortable taking clear photos, writing accurate listing descriptions, and navigating inventory software.
Physical Capability:
Ability to safely handle and lift heavy auto components in a shop environment.
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
