Job Description

Valiant is looking for a Locksmith to join our team! The Locksmith installs, repairs, modifies, and opens various locking mechanisms found on doors, desks, compartments, mobile equipment, safes, and vaults.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Repair key locksets. Fabricate and duplicate keys. Open key locksets. Replace or repair door assemblies and locks. Install, maintain, repair, replace, remove, open, and reset mechanical and electronic combinations for cipher locks. Perform other locksmith duties as designated by Security, the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), and Facility Services Office personnel. Maintain key inventories and records in the Facility Services Keystone program. Document all key issuance in accordance with site Facility Services policies and procedures. Fabricate and duplicate keys as necessary. Provide locksmith services related to card-access system components, including installation, maintenance, repair, replacement, removal, programming, and reprogramming. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license. Observe and comply with the company's quality, health, safety, and environmental policies at all times. Follow all safety instructions provided by individuals with greater responsibility for health and safety. Report all hazards, potential hazards, and dangerous conditions—including damaged or misplaced personal protective equipment—to your supervisor or safety representative. Report environmental impacts, including anything that results in a change to the environment because of Valiant's activities, products, or services. Participate in achieving Valiant's QHSE objectives and targets at both the departmental and company levels.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and the health and safety of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
