In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise in CNC machine setup, and quality inspection will ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship and efficiency. Responsibilities Set up and operate mill CNC machines to produce complex metal parts with precision. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining. Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) for efficient production runs. Perform machine calibration, tooling changes, and adjustments to optimize machining operations while maintaining safety standards. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments for quality control purposes. Troubleshoot machining issues, perform manual machining when necessary, and make adjustments to improve productivity. Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, inspection reports, and production logs to ensure traceability and compliance with quality standards. Experience Proven experience operating Mill CNC machines in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; familiarity with CNC G-code programming is essential. Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting mechanical blueprints with GD&T specifications. Familiarity with machining tools, manual tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments. Mechanical knowledge including understanding of tooling setups, machine calibration, and metalworking processes. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to machining tolerances, and process adjustments. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction within the machining process.
