Job Description

CNC Machinist / Prototype Machinist Qualifications Prior experience and strong working knowledge of modern machining processes and conventional machining tools. Experience programming CNC machines, entering design specifications, and ensuring machines perform as required. Experience planning and creating holding fixtures, selecting cutting tools, and securing materials on shop equipment. Experience adjusting machine settings to optimize part quality and accuracy. Working knowledge of current CAD software packages and common file types. Technical school education preferred, but not required. 10+ years of machine shop experience required. Experience with manual machine shop equipment, including Bridgeport mills, tool room lathes, and similar machinery. Experience with
TRAC CNC
equipment. Ability to work onsite. Responsibilities Provide parts manufacturing leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on machining experience to fabricate specified prototype machine components. The position requires the ability to leverage machining knowledge and experience to: Set up machining operations. Program CNC tool paths. Interpret engineering models and drawings. Understand and execute specified design intent. Manufacture high-quality prototype parts according to required specifications. Collaborate effectively as part of a team. Maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Pay:
$28.00 - $28.57 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
