Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist with strong 3-axis and 5-axis milling experience to join our team in Winter Park, FL. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position for someone who takes pride in getting setups right the first time, understands precision machining, and can identify and address potential issues before they become costly problems. The ideal candidate will have strong G-code knowledge, experience with Haas controls, and the ability to independently set up and run complex parts in a production environment.
Responsibilities
Set up, install, and touch off tooling for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mill jobs
Pull or saw-cut stock as needed
Run first parts while closely monitoring for potential issues, including heavy cuts, chatter, unusual sounds, or other machining anomalies
Review released G-code before and during production runs
Make targeted adjustments at the machine control to improve safety, cycle time, or part fit-up
Perform first article inspections on completed setups
Run production following a successful setup
Maintain a high level of accuracy, quality, and productivity throughout the machining process
Qualifications
5 years of hands-on CNC mill setup experience, including complex 3-axis and 5-axis parts
Experience with Haas CNC controls
Strong G-code literacy and the ability to understand, review, and troubleshoot CNC programs
Ability to make targeted G-code or program adjustments directly at the machine control
Ability to maintain a high work rate and complete approximately 3-4 setups per day
Strong first article inspection and precision measurement skills
Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Ability to work in a U.S. Person / ITAR-controlled environment
Nice to Have
NIMS certification
Experience working in an AS9100D or CMMC Level 2 manufacturing environment
Experience saw-cutting stock to length
Compensation & Benefits
$25.00-$32.00 per hour

Work Schedule
Monday-Thursday
6:00 AM-4:30 PM
Four 10-hour shifts with three days off each week
