Core Duties Identify and resolve issues with roll-forming lines, presses, feeders, conveyors, and material handling gear to keep production moving smoothly. Execute mechanical repairs on essential components like shafts, bearings, gearboxes, motors, and chains. Provide support for pneumatic, hydraulic, and fundamental electrical maintenance tasks. Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan. Utilize various power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments. Collaborate on the installation, fabrication, and modification of production equipment to improve output. Minimize downtime by responding quickly to equipment failures and working alongside operators to restore safe functionality. Maintain accurate records of parts utilized and repairs performed. Strictly adhere to all established safety protocols and lockout/tagout requirements. Requirements Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine desire to master industrial machinery. Possess relevant experience in roles such as automotive mechanic, fabricator, or equipment technician. Demonstrate the ability to operate standard power and hand tools in a safe manner. Maintain a foundational knowledge of mechanical systems to assist in effective troubleshooting. Bring helpful experience in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, or electrical systems. Show proficiency in interpreting equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and precision measuring tools. Maintain a reliable work ethic and a commitment to safety standards. Work effectively both as an individual contributor and as a collaborative member of the maintenance department. Maintain flexibility to work weekends or overtime hours as operational needs dictate. Physical Demands Perform tasks involving standing, walking, climbing, and bending in an industrial setting. Lift and maneuver machine parts while following established safety guidelines. Operate effectively within a busy manufacturing environment. We do not expect you to be an expert immediately. We are seeking a motivated individual with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and a drive to develop into a highly proficient Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
