SURESTAFF
is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our client in Franklin Park, IL. This hands-on role is responsible for assembling precision mechanical products, including Freewheel clutches, shaft couplings, and related power transmission components. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and will contribute product quality, operational efficiency, workplace safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Shift:
8 AM to 5 PM Monday -
Friday Pay:
$18/HR Background check and drug screen required during onboarding process R esponsibilities of the Assembler (Manufacturing): Assemble Freewheel clutches, couplings, and other products according to work instructions, drawings, and quality standards. Pick materials and components required for production orders. Operate etching and product marking equipment as required. Stage completed products for shipment and internal processing. Support shipping and receiving activities, including packaging, labeling, and documentation. Perform inventory picking and material transactions to support production schedules. Conduct incoming material inspections and verify components meet specifications. Assist with returned goods evaluation and failure analysis to identify root causes and corrective actions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 5S principles. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, waste reduction, productivity, and safety. Identify and report quality concerns, process issues, or opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards. Required Qualifications of the Assembler (Manufacturing): Must have previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment. Ability to read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and specifications High attention to detail and safety/compliance Basic mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools and measuring instruments.
