You map the strategy, write Mazatrol or G-code at the machine, set fixtures and offsets, and run a flawless first article. You spot a minor vibration, tweak the toolpath and parameters, and lock in a stable, repeatable process. That's your craft—start to finish. Core responsibilities Create or modify programs at the machine (Mazatrol and G-code) directly from blueprints.

Set up CNC turning centers:

install fixtures, load tooling, establish tool registers, and apply work/geometry offsets. Establish machine control settings; complete first-article prove-outs and release to production. Continuously monitor cycles, diagnose malfunctions, and make in-process adjustments to maintain capability. Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and surface finish per print and GD&T.

Technology environment Mazak controls:

Mazatrol T-32, T+, Fusion, Matrix, Smooth Control CAM platforms: Mastercam and Mazatrol Background that fits High School diploma or

GED. 3-5

years' experience preferred within a production manufacturing setting. Hands-on with 2-, 3-, and 4-axis CNC lathes; live tooling and Y-axis experience is a plus (not required). Strong in CNC programming, G-code, M-code, and production setups. Ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs to support production. Experience on Mazak turning centers; CNC Swiss (Star) exposure is advantageous. Comfort interpreting GD&T and validating compliance.
