What You'll Do:
Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and setup sheets Load materials (bar stock) and monitor machine performance Install and adjust cutting tools, guide bushings, and tool holders Perform tight-tolerance inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges Complete in-process inspections and documentation Identify and report defects or machining issues Perform routine machine maintenance (coolant, oils, lubrication) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
What You Bring:
Experience operating or setting up Swiss lathes (preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to read and understand blueprints and tolerances Experience with precision measuring instruments High attention to detail and commitment to quality Solid math skills (fractions, decimals, tolerances) Willingness to learn and grow within the role
