Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Machinist and become a vital contributor to precision manufacturing and remanufacturing. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality parts that meet strict specifications. Your expertise in machining tools and measurement will ensure every product adheres to our rigorous standards. Duties Operate machinery such as lathes and milling machines. Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and workpieces, ensuring precise alignment and calibration for optimal performance. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately machine parts. Conduct precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement tools for quality control. Perform machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to maintain high efficiency and prevent downtime. Inspect finished parts for quality compliance through quality inspection techniques and measurement standards. Use manual machining tools such as grinders, hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment for secondary operations or setup adjustments. Follow manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve productivity across machining processes. Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring parts are correctly fitted and finished according to specifications. Requirements Proven experience operating machinery including lathe and milling machines Strong knowledge of machining tools, tooling setup, and machine calibration techniques. Skilled in reading mechanical blueprints Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, micrometers. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of metal machining processes including grinding, manual machining. Familiarity with measurement instruments for quality control and inspection procedures to ensure product accuracy. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine setup adjustments. Knowledge of manufacturing practices to promote efficiency within the production environment. Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints accurately and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
