POSITION SUMMARY
Grow Your Machining Career in Aerospace Manufacturing Thomson Lamination Company is seeking a motivated Manual Machinist to join our Precision Grinding Department. This position is ideal for someone with solid manual machining experience who wants to expand their skills into precision OD and ID grinding while working alongside experienced machinists in a clean, high-quality aerospace manufacturing environment. If you enjoy working with manual machines, take pride in precision work, and want to continue developing your skills, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Perform precision machining operations including: OD Grinding ID Grinding Honing Milling Drilling Tapping Read engineering drawings and work instructions. Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring equipment. Produce high-quality components that meet customer specifications. Complete production and quality documentation. Maintain an organized and safe work area. Learn advanced grinding techniques from experienced machinists. Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department. Qualifications Required 2-5 years of machining experience. Experience operating manual mills, lathes, drill presses, or surface grinders. Ability to read blueprints. Experience using precision measuring tools including micrometers and calipers. Strong mechanical aptitude. Excellent attention to detail. Dependable work ethic. Willingness to learn new machining processes and equipment. Preferred Experience with OD or ID grinding. Familiarity with GD&T. Tool & Die experience. Aerospace manufacturing experience.
