Job Description

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist with 3-5 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience of operating vertical milling machines and the ability to perform independent setups. Experience with 5-axis machining is highly desirable. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to producing high-quality precision parts.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC vertical milling machines Perform complete machine setups independently, including tooling selection, offsets, and fixture alignment Interpret and work from blueprints and engineering drawings Edit and optimize CNC programs as needed Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) Maintain tight tolerances and ensure quality standards are met Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency Document work accurately, including machine settings, inspection results and production reports
Qualifications:
3-5 years of CNC milling experience (vertical milling required) Proven ability to perform full machine setups independently Experience with 5-axis machining is a strong plus Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials Experience with precision inspection tools and quality control processes Ability to work independently
Preferred Skills:
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards
Work Environment:
Manufacturing shop environment Standing for extended periods and lifting materials as needed
