Interested in learning more? Keep reading. ProMach is hiring a CNC Grinder to support our HMC division. In this hands-on role, you will set up and operate Haas CNC vertical mills and CNC lathes. You will work with downloaded programs and adjust them to ensure accurate, high-quality parts. We offer a modern, clean, safe, and climate-controlled work environment. We are not a typical machine shop. Our team focuses on building world-class packaging equipment for a global customer base. Do you enjoy this work? Set up and operate CNC and manual grinders, including Chevalier, Kent, Jones & Shipman and Blohm machines, to perform surface and cylindrical grinding. Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure accurate part production. Inspect and measure parts using precision instruments (micrometers, indicators, comparators, etc.) to ensure parts meet specifications. Perform routine machine maintenance and minor troubleshooting to maintain equipment functionality. Optimize grinding operations for efficiency, tool life, and part quality. Work with tight tolerances, often within ±0.0005". Collaborate with engineering, quality, and other production staff to resolve issues and improve processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and quality protocols. Document work as required, including job travelers, inspection reports, and production logs. Salary Range:

$24.00 - $30.00 per hour If this sounds like you, we want to connect! High School Diploma 2+ years of grinding experience, preferably in a job shop or precision manufacturing environment. Proficient in operating Chevalier, Kent, Jones & Shipman, Blohm and other flat or cylindrical grinders. Strong understanding of grinding speeds, feeds, wheel selection, and coolant usage. Familiarity with various materials including tool steels, stainless steels, and hardened alloys. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Lako was founded in 1976, and recently became part of ProMach's Flexible Packaging Group.
