CNC Machinist

Job Opportunity:

CNC VTL Operator A client of ours in Clackamas is looking for an experienced CNC VTL Operator with live-tooling experience and experience operating a vertical turning lathe. If you are a motivated, well-rounded machinist, willing to learn and think outside the box, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC VTL machines with live tooling. Work from blueprints, specifications, and instructions to machine large parts to tolerance. Perform rough and finish turning, as well as milling operations. Review, edit, and verify CNC programs, speeds, and feeds. Perform complex setups including blocking, aligning, and securing large forgings Operate multiple machines to maximize productivity Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and diameter tapes Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all company safety policies and procedures Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC VTL machines Experience with live tooling required Strong CNC programming skills (read, write, and edit programs) Ability to perform complex setups independently Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T tolerances Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Schedule:

Monday - Friday (8-hour shifts) or Monday - Thursday (10-hour shifts) available. Starting time from 5:30am-6:00am.

Pay:

$24.00 - $34.00 per hour
