Opti Staffing is partnering with a growing precision manufacturing company in Clackamas, OR. This company specializes in close-tolerance components, assemblies, prototyping, and production runs. They are looking for a skilled CNC Mill/Lathe Machinist to join their team and play an important role in producing high-quality precision parts. What You'll Do:
Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components according to blueprints and specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements. Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices. Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment. Make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy. Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed. Monitor machine performance and production quality. Work closely with programmers, inspectors, and supervisors to meet production schedules. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized. Follow all company safety and quality procedures. What's In It for

Have:
Previous experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes. Strong blueprint and engineering drawing interpretation skills. Working knowledge of GD&T. Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators. Knowledge of tooling selection, feeds, speeds, and machining processes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Musts:
Previous CNC setup and operation experience. Ability to perform in-process inspections and maintain quality standards. Strong blueprint reading skills. Reliable attendance and a positive attitude. Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Preferred:
Experience with both CNC milling and turning. Experience with 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines. Experience machining tight-tolerance aerospace, industrial, or production components. Basic understanding of G & M code. Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar CNC controls. Familiarity with fixture setup and optimization. Experience making machine offsets and tooling adjustments.
