Now Hiring CNC Machinists or Entry Level CNC Machinist's Job Description The CNC Machinist sets up and operates CNC equipment to manufacture precision components according to blueprint specifications. This role includes performing machine setups and changeovers, selecting appropriate tooling, and adjusting speeds and feeds to meet production and quality requirements. The machinist inspects parts throughout the process, maintains accurate dimensions and tolerances, and keeps the work area safe, clean, and organized. This is a full-time position on a day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts to specification. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T requirements. Select proper tooling, speeds, and feeds based on material type and part requirements. Perform complete machine setups and teardowns for job changes in a job shop environment. Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Troubleshoot machining issues and make mechanical adjustments to equipment as needed. Operate related equipment such as drill presses, shears, lathes, and mills when required. Maintain CNC machines and related equipment in good working condition and report issues promptly. Follow established safety procedures and ensure compliance with quality standards. Keep the work area clean, organized, and aligned with 5S and safety expectations. Collaborate with team members and leadership in a job shop setting to meet production goals and schedules.
