What to Expect The Production Machinist role supports tooling & fixtures across multiple manufacturing operations at Megafactory Texas. Responsibilities include designing, fabricating, and maintaining/optimizing fixtures and related components using CNC, lathes, mills, saws, grinders, etc. The role also performs routine equipment repairs, supports line configuration, and collaborates with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to meet production goals while adhering to safety protocols. What You'll Do
Operate and program CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis equipment, to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications
Maintain and optimize end-of-arm tooling & pallet, weld and check fixture PM systems, including detailed work instructions and manage on schedule completion of PM activities
Collaborate with engineers and production teams from developing new porotypes to scale
Identify and implement proactive systems to achieve consistent productivity and reduce defects
Support defect troubleshooting procedures during dimensional issues
Upkeep of equipment, related part inventory, and overall shop 5S What You'll Bring
3+ years of experience as a machinist with proficiency in operating auto & manual CNC equipment, lathes, mills, saws and grinders
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical specifications
Experience in production and maintaining check/weld fixtures, end-of-arm tooling, lift assist, and equipment in general. Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices
Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines. Work efficiently and productively in independent and team settings
Strong analytic problem-solving skills
