Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a full-time, permanent position in Hampton, Virginia. This role is ideal for skilled machinists who take pride in precision work and want long-term stability in a manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for setting up and operating machining equipment to produce high-quality components while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, drills) Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds based on materials Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and efficiency Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues during production Ensure all parts meet required tolerances and quality standards Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Collaborate with engineers and team members to meet production goals Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of CNC machining experience Strong knowledge of machining processes and equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience with precision measuring tools Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills High attention to detail and quality Preferred Qualifications Experience working with CNC machines in a manufacturing environment Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software Technical training or certification in machining (e.g., NIMS) Experience working with tight-tolerance components Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment Schedule 1st
Shift:
