In this dynamic role, you will operate and maintain water jet cutting equipment to produce precise components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting will ensure high-quality production standards are met efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment dedicated to excellence and safety. Duties Set up and operate water jet cutting machines, ensuring accurate calibration and alignment for each job. Interpret detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to determine cutting parameters. Program water jet machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise cutting paths. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on water jet equipment to maximize operational efficiency. Measure finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy in accordance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Follow safety standards rigorously while handling industrial tools, materials, and machinery to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure seamless production flow and quality control throughout the manufacturing process. Experience Proven experience operating water jet cutting machines within a manufacturing or factory setting. Strong background in CNC programming, including familiarity with CAD/CAM software tools. Knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings. Hands-on experience with CNC machining processes such as milling machines, lathe operations, stamping presses, and press brake machines is highly desirable. Skilled in using precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, shop math, and GD&T for quality assurance purposes. Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting and basic mechanical knowledge is essential. Prior warehouse or manufacturing facility experience that demonstrates adherence to safety standards and efficient materials handling practices is preferred.
