Our client company manufactures custom juice and flavor blends for a wide variety of industrial users worldwide. Stable company that has been in business over 50 years. Company is seeking experienced Manufacturing Compounders to join their team.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
This position uses given formulas and/or process sheets to make batches of juice blends. All work is performed in conformance with GMP, HACCP and safety standards and procedures. Responsible for contributing to the efficient, profitable operation of the plant. This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships and work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Capable to set up, operate, sanitize equipment, such as pumps, tanks and hoses as/when needed.
- Follow formulas either written, via scanner and/or on computerized systems.
- During batch making must use the bar-code scanning system.
- Maintain written records for formulas and/or process sheets.
Take samples and add materials according to directions from formulas and/or process sheets.
Maintain cleanliness of blending areas and equipment, using proper sanitation techniques and following GMP and safety guidelines.
Maintain inventory of bulk raw materials and help load and unload tankers.
Learn to operate additional production equipment as needed and assigned.
Operate forklift frequently during work shift.
Lift up to 55 pounds frequently.
Work in a wet, noisy, fast-paced environment.
Regular, punctual attendance.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read and write English and perform math and measurement calculations.
Must be able to use devices, such as scales, beakers and sight tubes on bulk tanks.
Must know how to hook up hoses and pumps to bulk tankers properly, when transferring product from storage to blending tanks.
Minimum 1 year of hands on experience.
Must be capable of performing tasks requiring judgment and precision. With minimum supervision. Must report to any company facility according to company need, sometimes with same-day notice.
