This is a seasonal position located on-site at our Stockton Facility. The Seasonal Receiving Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth intake and initial processing of all incoming olive loads. This position is responsible for accurately entering load information, operating and monitoring receiving equipment, maintaining traceability, and upholding a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Seasonal Receiving Operators work closely with the Milling, Logistics, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to maintain steady fruit flow and support overall production efficiency. Corto Harvest is a 24/7 operation from mid-October to early December so the ability to work any shift, at least 6 days per week, is required and a willingness to work up to 12 hours if needed. This position will be primarily responsible for: Executing tasks in accordance with work instructions, checklists, and reaction plans while ensuring adherence to established procedures. Unloading olives from trailers into receiving lines safely and efficiently. Operating receiving line equipment effectively using the control interface (HMI). Operating forklifts safely to support receiving and mill operations. Performing log changes in accordance with standard operating procedures. Maintaining accurate traceability of olives from trailer to hopper. Monitoring hopper levels and ensuring proper talc dispensing and documentation for assigned receiving lines. Refilling talc dispensing systems as needed while following PPE and safety requirements, including approved face mask use. Identifying, reporting, and escalating operational issues, risks, and equipment concerns. Managing green and metal waste while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicating with Receiving, Milling, and Logistics teams regarding load status, and operational changes. Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to pass face mask fit test for use of approved face mask. Excellent communicator amongst peers and with direct management. Strong organizational skills. Ability to operate a forklift and successfully pass both a written and driving test.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; moderate stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and moderate fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 25% or less sitting, 50% or more walking, and 50% or more standing. The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a manufacturing environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required.
