The Baler Operator tends to machinery that compresses and binds recyclable materials into bales for easy storage and transportation. This position requires the operator to monitor the machine's performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and safety standards are met. The Baler Operator is responsible for carrying out basic preventative maintenance on the machine ensuring it is in proper working order.Responsibilities:
Monitor the flow of materials ensuring they are loaded correctly into the baler Run conveyer system and in-feed on baler Monitor baler to ensure proper operation Ability to lift and move heavy loads Assists with loading and unloading of material Maintain inventory records Keep baler area clean and organized Responsible for the inspection of the baler, ensure that all necessary repairs have been performed and that proper startup and safety procedures are followed.Experience and Education:
1 year related experience or training Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and ability to effectively communicateForklift Certified Preferred Job Type:
