Full-Time / Hourly Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Central Processor to receive, record, and sort donated goods through the Kaizen processing system. This position is responsible for meeting production goals, supporting continuous process improvement, maintaining clean and safe work areas, and ensuring donations are processed according to established guidelines. The Central Processor will assist in multiple areas of production and cross-train to support other operational functions as needed.Key Responsibilities:
Receive, record, and sort donations according to the Kaizen system, including all RAW/Salvage sorting, labeling, pricing, and processing guidelines. Meet or exceed production goals by hanging soft-line merchandise, processing hard-line merchandise, accurately recording production, and supporting continuous process improvement. Execute Kaizen 5-minute drills and maintain clean, safe, and organized workstations. Sort, box, and label hangers by type and follow all established processing procedures, including rubber banding shoes and other designated requirements. Properly sort and place pulls, salvage, and recyclable commodities into designated containers, hoppers, Gaylords, totes, and other assigned locations to support aftermarket operations and minimize disposal expenses. Maintain a positive attitude while working with customers, clients, and co-workers. Support the company safety program and perform all duties in accordance with safety requirements. Follow all company policies and procedures. Assist in all areas of the production process, cross-train to support other roles as needed, and perform donation attendant, merchandising, cleaning, and other duties assigned by supervisors.Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to listen to and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and independently stoop, bend, kneel, push, pull, and perform processing duties. Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Ability to recognize colors. Knowledge of basic math skills. Good judgment, patience, and understanding. Ability to occasionally work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
