  • Job Title: Machine Operator Helper
  • Job Description
  • The Machine Operator Helper supports the machine operator in all aspects of production, ensuring materials are correctly loaded, measurements are accurate, and finished products meet quality standards. This role works in a manufacturing environment on a daytime shift and requires confidence with basic production tasks and precise measurement using a tape measure.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Assist the machine operator with daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operation of manufacturing machinery.

+ Feed raw materials into the machine in the correct sequence and quantity, following established procedures and safety guidelines.

+ Verify the quantity of finished products against production orders and documentation.

+ Measure the length of the final product using a tape measure to confirm it meets required specifications.

+ Monitor materials and product flow during production and promptly report any issues or irregularities to the machine operator or supervisor.

+ Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the machinery and production line.

+ Follow all manufacturing and safety protocols, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective gear.

+ Support basic machine operation tasks as directed, such as preparing materials, staging work, and assisting with changeovers.

+ Participate in any required testing or assessments related to tape measure use and measurement accuracy.

+ Communicate clearly with the machine operator and team members to coordinate workflow and meet production targets.

  • Essential Skills
  • + Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

+ Experience operating or assisting with manufacturing machinery.

+ Ability to accurately use a tape measure, including passing a tape measure test.

+ Basic understanding of production processes and material handling.

+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions reliably.

+ Attention to detail when checking product quantities and measurements.

+ Commitment to following safety procedures in a production setting.

  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • + Ability to speak some Spanish to support communication with primarily Spanish-speaking machine operators. + Comfort working with hand tools and basic production equipment. + Willingness to learn additional machine operation tasks over time. + Reliability and strong work ethic in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will work a daytime shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in an active, fast-paced environment that requires standing, moving materials, and performing repetitive tasks. The role involves regular use of a tape measure and other basic production tools, adherence to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing floor and the use of any required personal protective equipment are expected.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $17.

00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
