Job Description

Our client, Industrial is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Machine Operator Mechanical aptitude and 6 months mechanical experience
Location:
Ames, IA Pay Range:
$20
  • 25 hour
Shift:
1st and 2nd shift available Monday
  • Thursday 5am-3:30 pm or 3:30pm-2AM
FRIDAY OT
What's the Job? Operate, set up, and monitor production machinery to build and assemble products per work instructions Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment and report complex issues to maintenance Maintain product quality by following visual, dimensional, and documentation standards. Complete required computer transactions (LOTS, scrap, Oracle, kanban, etc.) to ensure accurate tracking. Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use, equipment safety, lockout/tagout, and proper waste handling—some materials may be hazardous Record and maintain quality and traceability information Follow safety policies, including PPE usage and equipment safety protocols What's Needed? High School diploma or GED or equivalent Mechanical aptitude and 6 months mechanical experience , including ability to recognize and resolve minor equipment issue Manual dexterity and good coordination Basic reading, writing, and math skills must have machine operator experience (needed) able to work independently as well What's in it for me?
