South Elgin, IL Job Details $24 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Hand tools Full Job Description The Department Lead oversees day-to-day operations within the department and ensures all work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards. Cat-i Glass participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility after hire.Essential Job Functions:
Monitor hourly rate of output log Monitor department supplies Monitor internal time work (rework, assembly, medivator, interal jobs) Support line work by making boxes, completing paperwork, troubleshooting, etc. Complete quality test as required by job ticket (boil test, thermal test, dyne test, angle test) CSR inventory Must be able to handle different sizes of glass parts Visually inspect and/or measure parts as necessary Report final production output along with defects Must be able to load and remove glass parts from the production line Pack finish goods into boxes Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time Other duties as assigned Skills and/orCompetencies:
A minimum of three (3) months of related experience and/or training Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions Ability to write basic communication and understand on-the-job work standards Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and/or small group setting. Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.Physical Demands and Working Environment:

Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8+ hours Performing tasks by working with water While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear, repetitive. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or occasionally crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Requires manual dexterity to handle glass parts, hand tools and knives. Tasks require lifting, standing, bending, reaching, climbing, pulling, pushing, visually observing plastic parts.Benefits
