Job Description
Job Summary Responsible for feeding the granulator and/or shredder with plastic parts including Preforms, Bottles, Caps, or other plastic parts manually or with the help of a box dumper onto the conveyor belt or into the hopper, while maintaining focus on the type of materials that are going into the conveyor following the grinding instruction by performing the following duties. Some machines may require the operator to be standing on a secured platform with railing and using a harness to ensure their safety. Responsibilities 1. Performs startup, shutdown, and material changeovers and normal operating procedures for assigned machines and conveyor system with minimal supervision. Performs and tracks material inventory and production information by inputting required in manual documents and adjusts operating conductions observation of equipment and/or materials produced. Coordinates inventory levels of all production supplies with the Shift Lead such as bags, boxes, liners, skids, etc. Identifies equipment and personal safety issues, coordinates with Shift Lead to resolve issues, and aids in the Safety and Operations training of new employees. Maintains compliance with company and OSHA policies regarding operations and safety issues, including but not limited to lockout/tagout procedures, fork truck operation, proper use of PPE, and sharps discovery and handling. Maintains clear understanding on performance of all procedures and equipment per training and attends all required training sessions including safety training. Moves materials in a timely and efficient manner with forklifts. Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device, accurately weighs containers, labels correctly, and stores in the proper location. Communicates effectively with employees in all departments and functional areas. Maintains cleanliness and organization on the line and the surrounding areas including outside. Remains attentive to potential contamination issues and handles issues appropriately.

Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
