Job Description

Foremost Fabricators, a division of Patrick Industries, is seeking Machine Operators to join our 2nd shift team. Foremost Fabricators is a fabricator of aluminum sheet metal and galvanized steel, FRP coil and sheet for the RV manufacturing industry. Machine Operator is responsible for operating metal forming equipment and safely handling materials throughout the plant. This role requires strong tape measure skills, machine operator experience, and the ability to maintain tight quality tolerances. We are seeking individuals who are looking for long-term employment and growth, not temporary or short-term work. This role requires commitment, reliability, and consistency. Candidates with a proven record of steady employment and dependable attendance are strongly encouraged to apply. NOT A WELDER or CNC position
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Championing Foremost Fabricators' safety policies through example, wearing all required protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment— Steel toe shoes are required on production floor and shipping yard. Operate machines and press equipment to bend, shape, and cut sheet metal. Perform routine equipment inspections. Measure materials accurately using a tape measure. Complete production and order verification paperwork. Operates machine to manufacture parts for the RV industry, and other components from sheet metal. Prepares, sets up, and adjusts machines as required by product plans and production schedules. Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Communicating effectively with a partner and supervisor. Follow all company safety policies (steel-toe shoes required at start). Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to safely and effectively operate and learn to operate machine controls. Ability to follow instructions. Needs ability to read a print and read fractions/decimals. Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans. Strong math and basic computer skills. Work in a fluid environment

Must be able to read a tape measure. Must be goal oriented as they will be responsible for meeting deadlines. Ability to commit to a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with overtime as needed. Proven track record of steady employment.
Education and Experience:
Equivalent job experience required. At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or machine operation preferred. At least one year of manufacturing experience. Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, occasionally repetitive motions, and carrying materials. Lift up to 50 lbs.; push/pull up to 75 lbs. Physically able to operate a machine. Strong awareness of surroundings and attention to detail.
Schedule :
2nd shift: Monday
  • Friday 02:30pm-01:00am.
10 hour shift. 2nd Shift premium. Overtime available. Weekends as Needed.
Pay:
Negotiable , based on experience, starting at $18.00/hr. + Shift Premium. There are opportunities for cross-training and promotion/additional responsibilities on assigned machines or on other machines in plants and potential compensation for adding more value to the Team at Foremost.
