Screw Machine Operator

• $25 p/h We are hiring an experienced Screw Machine Operator to join a precision manufacturing team.

This position is ideal for someone with experience operating ACME, Acme-Gridley, Davenport, New Britain, Brown & Sharpe, multi-spindle, single-spindle, or similar screw machines . Candidates with related automatic screw machine or high-volume precision machining experience are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do Operate automatic screw machines to produce precision metal components Run and monitor multiple machines during production Read and follow blueprints, setup sheets, work instructions, and specifications Monitor parts for dimensional accuracy and quality Inspect finished parts using: Calipers Micrometers Gauge pins Optical comparators Identify parts that are out of tolerance and make basic machine adjustments as needed Record inspection and production data Monitor tooling, machine performance, oil levels, and chip removal Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures What We're Looking For Previous experience with any of the following is highly relevant: Screw Machine Operation Automatic Screw Machines Multi-Spindle Screw Machines Single-Spindle Screw Machines ACME / Acme-Gridley Davenport New Britain Brown & Sharpe Cam-Operated Screw Machines Bar-Fed Machining High-Volume Precision Machining Qualifications Previous screw machine or related precision machining experience Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools Ability to read basic blueprints and setup documentation Understanding of dimensional tolerances and part quality Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail Ability to monitor multiple machines in a production environment Direct ACME or multi-spindle experience is preferred, but candidates with other screw machine backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
