Job Title:
Machine Operator | 1st & 2nd Shift Available | $21-25+HR Job Description This role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring manufacturing machinery in a high-quality production environment. You will perform routine quality checks, follow detailed work instructions, and support continuous production while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area. Openings are available on both 1st and 2nd shift, with training initially provided on 1st shift. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing machinery and equipment according to production requirements. Perform routine quality checks to ensure all parts and products meet specified standards and tolerances. Read and interpret basic work instructions, blueprints, and production documents to complete assigned tasks accurately. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain consistent product quality and production efficiency. Use hand tools and related equipment safely and effectively during setup, operation, and basic adjustments. Inspect parts and assemblies for defects or deviations and take appropriate action to correct issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and production standards at all times. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production issues, quality concerns, or process improvements. Support general production and assembly tasks as needed to meet overall manufacturing goals. Essential Skills Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ability to work 2nd shift hours (3:00 PM - 12:00 AM / 1:00 AM) and remain open to overtime as needed. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust and maintain machine performance. Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions, blueprints, and production documents. Experience with machine operation, general production, assembly, inspection, and use of hand tools. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to product quality. Ability to follow safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, and work instructions accurately. Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with supervisors and team members. Work Environment The role is based in a nice, clean, and organized manufacturing facility. The site is not fully temperature-controlled, but heaters and fans are available to help manage varying weather conditions. 1st shift runs from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and 2nd shift runs from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 1:00 AM, with an expectation of openness to overtime. New hires train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks before moving to their regular shift. The facility features a state-of-the-art fabrication environment that supports data centers, steel fabrication, custom components, and industrial manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on safety, organization, and adherence to production standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brunswick, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
