Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a 2D/Flat Laser Operator (Weekdays), where you will play a vital role in precision metal fabrication. This position offers an exciting opportunity to operate state-of-the-art laser cutting equipment, ensuring high-quality production of metal components. Your expertise will contribute to efficient workflow, safety standards, and the delivery of top-tier products. Duties Set up and operate 2D/flat laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production according to technical specifications and blueprints Interpret technical drawings, manufacturing documents, and blueprints to determine proper machine settings and material placement Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance Measure finished parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to GD&T standards Maintain detailed production records, including job logs, quality checks, and inspection reports Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or other materials handling equipment while adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with team members on fabrication processes, quality control measures, and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements Proven experience operating laser cutting machinery or similar CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming for laser operations Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other CNC machine interfaces is highly desirable Ability to read mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret production documents accurately Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes such as stamping presses, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers Skilled in using precision measurement instruments including micrometers, calipers, shop math, and GD&T principles for quality assurance Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and the ability to follow strict safety procedures at all times Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklift equipment safely in a warehouse setting is preferred Basic shop math skills combined with strong attention to detail for dimensional measurements and quality control checks Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience emphasizing materials handling, assembly line work, and packaging processes is advantageous Join us in delivering precision-crafted metal components with efficiency and safety at the forefront! Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
