Position Summary:
The Machine Operator position will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment within our machine shop. They will adhere to all Morbark safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies and procedures
LASER OPERATOR
•12 HOUR
ROTATING SHIFT AND WEEKEND WORK
We are offering a 12-hour/rotating week shift and weekend-only position for the following positions in our
Machine Shop:
The shift premiums are as follows: 12 hour rotating shift•$2/hour for day shift position and $3 per hour for night shift position. Weekend shift is Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m.•6:00 p.m. and includes paid lunch break and $2/hour shift premium. Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours each week. Job:
Ability to set up and operate various macines (CNC, Brake Press, Saw, etc.) Ability to use measuring equipment such as dial calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc. Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications and tooling instructions and to plan operational sequences. Keep the workplace safe, clean and organized. Ensure proper placement of tools at the end of each shift. Responsibilities may change; be added or deleted to support the needs of the department. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers in addition to understanding fractions and decimals). Possess the ability to read and understand both written and verbal instructions. Must be able to read basic prints/schematics. Must be able to read and use tape measures. Proficient in shop mathematics and layout techniques is preferred.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. 2 years of continuous, related work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. 1-year minimum setup and operation of Mitsubishi and/or Bystronic lasers is required.
