Job Description
Service Set-Up Technician Department:
Service Pay Range:
$27.00-$32.00 per hour Summary MTI is seeking a Service Set-Up Technician to assemble, inspect, test, and prepare new equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards. This role is essential to ensuring equipment is customer-ready prior to delivery while supporting customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and safety. Key Responsibilities Assemble and set up equipment according to manufacturer specifications. Install components, accessories, and attachments as required. Conduct inspections and operational testing to ensure equipment quality and performance. Identify and report equipment defects or repair needs. Complete final quality checks and delivery readiness inspections. Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support service department goals, delivery schedules, and continuous improvement efforts. Employees are required to provide their own basic hand and power tools. MTI provides advanced diagnostic and specialty tools. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools. Experience in equipment, agricultural, automotive, diesel, landscaping, construction, or related mechanical work preferred. Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Forklift experience preferred.
