Job Description
Mt. Vernon, MO $20.00 per Hour Full-Time | 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Penmac Staffing is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for a manufacturing facility that specializes in the production of bulk material handling conveyor systems. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with metal fabrication experience who enjoy working with precision equipment, reading blueprints, and producing quality components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements for the Machine Operator High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of machine operation or related manufacturing experience preferred Experience operating at least two of the following: drill presses, shears, band saws, Bridgeport mills, lathes, punch presses, or press brakes Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders Strong math skills, including decimals, fractions, and geometry Good computer skills and familiarity with file sharing systems Ability to use precision measuring tools and maintain tight tolerances Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude Willingness to learn and operate additional equipment as needed Machine Operator Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate equipment according to work orders, blueprints, templates, and layouts Produce quality parts that meet customer and engineering specifications Verify dimensions using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments Follow shop drawings to lay out, punch, and drill holes accurately Learn and assist with setup and operation of mechanical punch presses Maintain adequate inventory of standard parts Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment is calibrated and clean Follow all company safety rules and procedures Physical Requirements for the Machine Operator Stand for extended periods throughout the shift Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Perform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, and pulling Coordinate hand, foot, and eye movements while operating machinery Work safely around moving mechanical equipment, electrical components, oils, and cutting fluids Apply online or contact Penmac Staffing's Monett Branch for more information about this Machine Operator opportunity in Mt.
