$23.50 Position Summary The Dye Weigher/Mixer is responsible for safely and accurately preparing, mixing, and delivering chemical dye solutions to production areas. This position ensures proper inventory control, maintains equipment cleanliness, and supports continuous production through adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work safely at all times, following company safety policies and procedures. Receive, unload, and store all incoming chemicals; collect samples and deliver them to the lab for testing. Maintain accurate daily inventory of all chemical mixes. Prepare chemical mixes according to batch cards and production requirements, determining quantities based on yardage and pickup figures. Set valves and pumps to deliver prepared chemical mixes to production frames. Pump back unused mixes to appropriate storage tanks and wash out all lines completely. Clean empty tote tanks and RFL tanks as required, ensuring lines are properly flushed. Take and label mix samples for lab testing; perform basic quality checks, including pH and viscosity measurements. Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and organized work environment. Monitor and ensure all mixing and pumping equipment operates efficiently and safely. Perform minor mechanical maintenance and adjustments as needed. Participate in cross-training to support other operational areas during low-volume periods. Physical and Environmental Requirements Stand on a tile floor for the full duration of the shift. Move across a 300-foot workspace multiple times per shift. Enter confined spaces approximately once per shift for cleaning tasks. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs continuously and handle a 15 lb hose several times per shift. Bend to floor level frequently (approximately 50 times per shift). Work in an environment with exposure to low levels of toluene, ammonia, and formaldehyde fumes—protective goggles and PPE required. Qualifications and Skills Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, division, and calculation of fractions and percentages. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform light maintenance. Team-oriented attitude with flexibility to assist in other areas as needed.APR Benefits Offered:
