Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Balloon Crew Assistant aids in the preparation, installation, and dismantle of décor for events, ensuring timely setup, high-quality presentation, and a clean teardown. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: Inflate balloons using air or helium, ensuring proper sizing and consistency Tie, seal, and assemble balloons into garlands, arches, centerpieces, and other décor Sort and organize balloon colors and styles per event design specs Assist with transporting and loading balloon materials to event sites Aide the Balloon Crew Lead in installing balloon arrangements securely and according to the design plan Ensure displays are balanced and visually appealing Interact professionally with clients, vendors, and venue staff Make minor on-site adjustments as needed to meet client expectations Remain available for support during events, if applicable (balloon house, cotton candy cart, etc.) Safely dismantle and remove balloon installations post-event as required Clean up balloon debris and return reusable materials and equipment to the appropriate location Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, pumps, and storage areas Follow safety procedures when handling helium tanks and lifting heavy items All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the ability to perform the essential functions of the role: Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive to required event locations as needed Must not be afraid of heights and must be able to safely use ladders No latex allergies Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Safely and successfully perform the essential job functions Stand, bend, reach, and move for extended periods of time Lift and transport up to 50 pounds of equipment or materials
Pay:
$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
