Hiring Machine Operators in Mount Joy, PA! (Direct Placement Opportunities) Job Description The Machine Operator plays a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will set up, operate, and monitor machinery, handle materials, and perform basic maintenance while maintaining strict attention to detail and safety standards. Success in this role requires reliability, a strong willingness to learn through on-the-job training, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to maximize production efficiency. Responsibilities Be present for all scheduled 12-hour shifts according to the assigned shift schedule. Set up machines at the start of each production cycle to ensure proper operation and output. Control and adjust machine settings during production to maintain optimal performance and product quality. Feed raw materials or parts into semi-automated machines in a safe and efficient manner. Utilize tooling and precision measuring instruments to verify that products meet required specifications. Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines to support ongoing operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the manufacturing process, following established procedures. Essential Skills Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of tooling and the use of precision measuring instruments to check product specifications. Experience working with manufacturing equipment, including setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting. Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues effectively. Ability to perform material handling tasks safely and efficiently throughout the production process. Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to producing high-quality work.
