Job Summary:
Join Pratt & Whitneys Columbus Engine Center and help power the future of flight. As a Repairman, youll play a critical role in the maintenance, repair, assembly, and testing of turbine engines and engine components that support commercial and military aviation worldwide. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented aerospace manufacturing environment, youll perform precision repair operations using specialized tools, fixtures, and technical data while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. This is a Weekend position: Friday - Sunday 6:30am - 7pm
What You Will Do:
Perform hands-on repair of turbine engine components and accessories, including drilling, fastener removal, blending, insert installation, and silicone repairs. Utilize hand tools, specialized tooling, fixtures, and approved technical data to support engine assembly, disassembly, repair, and test operations. Interpret and follow work instructions, engineering specifications, and quality requirements to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently. Conduct required self-inspections and peer inspections to verify compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Support Safety, Quality, and Delivery (SQD) objectives by adhering to established processes, maintaining a clean work area, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and deliver high-quality products to customers.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications We Value:
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License or Powerplant (P) Certificate Experience using precision measuring instruments, such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges. Experience performing engine overhaul, repair, or maintenance in an aerospace, aviation, military, or industrial environment. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma Experience using Microsoft Office applications and SAP
