About the Role As a Senior Laser Fabrication Specialist, you will serve as a technical lead within our sheet metal department, operating advanced machinery like Prima and BLM tube lasers to drive production excellence. You will act as a subject matter expert, mentoring junior team members and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality output and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Operate and maintain high-precision tube laser and fabrication equipment to maximize OEE and production throughput. Lead team efforts by mentoring junior operators, interpreting departmental metrics, and providing guidance in the absence of shift leadership. Execute daily and weekly preventative maintenance procedures to ensure equipment reliability and safety. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and scrap reduction goals through root cause analysis and process innovation. Manage data entry and documentation within MES and digital tracking systems to maintain accurate production records. Uphold rigorous safety standards and 5S protocols to foster a secure and organized work environment. Required Skills Proven experience operating industrial fabrication equipment, specifically tube lasers and press brakes. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform troubleshooting and basic equipment maintenance. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical blueprints and engineering drawings. Competency in shop math, including fractional-to-decimal conversions and precision measurement tools. Demonstrated leadership ability with experience training or guiding small teams. Proficiency in MS Office applications for data tracking and reporting. Preferred Skills Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Advanced knowledge of fabrication software and machine programming. Background in cross-functional team collaboration and project management.
