About GEC:

GEC is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of aircraft and vehicle weighing systems. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team in SW Arlington. This role is responsible for running saws daily but will also be cross trained to assist other areas of the shop as production needs shift. If you like to learn multiple skills, this opportunity is a great fit.

What You'll Be Doing:

Operate horizontal/vertical band saws and cut-off saws to size raw stock to specs Read travelers and blueprints to determine cut dimensions and tolerances Inspect finished cuts for accuracy and quality Keep the saw area organized, clean, and safe Flex into other areas of the shop when saw work is light —deburring, basic machine tending, assembly support, material handling, and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:

Required:

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis, and team lift heavier items Prior saw operation or general machine shop experience preferred, but not required - we'll train the right person Comfortable reading a tape measure and basic blueprints Punctual, reliable, and possessing a strong team-player attitude. Genuinely willing to learn new stations rather than stick to one job Ability to pass a required background check and drug test.
