Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator/Welder and become a vital contributor to our fabrication and manufacturing processes! In this energetic role, you will operate heavy machinery, perform precise welding tasks, and contribute to the creation of high-quality metal components. Your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and safety consciousness will drive our success as you work on construction sites, fabrication shops, or industrial environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in welding and machining while being part of a collaborative and safety-focused team. Duties Operate a variety of machinery including plasma cutters, power tools, and fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal materials. Perform welding using techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise dimensions. Use hand tools and power tools safely for cutting, grinding, drilling, and assembly tasks. Conduct quality checks on finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to verify adherence to specifications. Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment on construction sites or within fabrication shops. Qualifications (Preferred but not Required) Proven experience in construction site work or metal fabrication environments is highly preferred Proficient in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, with knowledge of AWS standards. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for precise fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge of shop math, fabrication processes, machining, plasma cutting, and assembly procedures. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, gas metal arc welding equipment, and plasma cutters safely and effectively. Strong understanding of safety protocols relevant to construction sites and fabrication shops.
