Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a 2nd Shift Operator, where your energy and precision will drive our production processes forward during overnight hours. In this vital role, you will operate and monitor advanced machinery, ensure quality standards are met, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment. Your expertise in plastics manufacturing and mechanical systems will contribute to delivering top-tier products while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Operate plastics extrusion, blow molding, and injection molding machines with precision, ensuring optimal performance and product quality. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and adjust machinery parameters for consistent output. Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify product specifications. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC equipment, and other fabrication tools to minimize downtime. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment while adhering to materials handling protocols. Assist in assembly processes and fabricate components using hand tools for various manufacturing tasks. Document production data, quality checks, and machine performance logs accurately for continuous improvement and compliance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience operating manufacturing equipment such as plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion lines, press brake machines, CNC lathes, or similar machinery. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Warehouse experience including forklift operation certification is preferred. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction. Ability to perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to plastics fabrication, machining, materials handling, and general manufacturing environments.
