Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with industrial equipment, and a commitment to quality assurance. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment focused on precision, safety, and continuous improvement. Duties Set up and operate plastic injection molding machines, ensuring proper configuration according to specifications. Monitor machine operation throughout production runs, adjusting parameters as needed for optimal performance. Conduct quality inspections using precision measurement instruments and dimensional measurements to verify product specifications. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery, including robotic systems, CNC lathe, press brake machines, and other industrial equipment. Handle materials safely and efficiently, utilizing materials handling techniques and warehouse experience when necessary. Use hand tools and measurement tools for assembly, calibration, and inspection tasks. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and manufacturing standards to maintain a safe working environment. Document production data accurately and report any issues or deviations promptly for engineering troubleshooting. Assist in the setup of auxiliary equipment such as CNC machines or plastics extrusion systems when required. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending solutions. Experience Proven experience in plastics production, including plastics blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion processes. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control. Hands-on experience operating industrial equipment such as CNC lathes, press brake machines, robotic systems, and other manufacturing machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge related to machine operation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment. Ability to perform precise measurements using quality inspection tools and measurement instruments. Basic math skills necessary for setting machine parameters and interpreting measurement data. Warehouse experience or materials handling skills are preferred. Knowledge of safety protocols specific to manufacturing environments is essential. Prior experience with engineering troubleshooting or industrial equipment troubleshooting is advantageous.
