In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting injection molds to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety protocols, and consistent product quality. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates tool room equipment. Reads prints and follows instructions on changeovers. Assists in repair of injection molds. Manufactures components for injection molds (DOE). Ensures injection mold tooling meets quality standards and all production goals. Reads blueprints, and checks products with calipers, and other testing methods and devices. Performs preventive maintenance tasks and documents any/all changes. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONS
Technical degree/diploma or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-year minimum experience working on injection molding tools in a tool room environment (including thermoplastic and thermoset materials). Expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Diagnosing and troubleshooting when necessary. Proficient in tool room machinery including mills, grinders, drill presses, hand tools, cleaners, etc. SolidWorks Design software experience is a plus but not required. Capable of reviewing and referencing part and/or mold drawings and documents. Excellent mathematical skills. Exposure to and usage of ERP systems. Reviewing/printing work orders. Retrieving key information to aid in the completion of complex repairs/revisions.COMPETENCIES
