Job Description
Role Summary:
The Composite Lamination Technician manufactures composite components needed to construct build to order parts for multiple industries while following build specifications in a safe and organized work area.Responsibilities:
- Execute daily production schedule.
- Inspect mold for damage.
- Clean and wax mold as necessary.
- Clay mold and tape mold according to pre-gel coating specs.
- Stage pulled parts in designated next stage area
- Apply proper gel coat in accordance to part specification
- Measure and cut matt and wood components needed for lamination by individual part to product specification
- Hand lay and chop parts to proper mill thickness and customer product specifications
- Build parts in compliance with resin transfer molding procedures
- Properly install all hardware when required.
- Wet trim parts after layup and before pulling
- Pull completed parts from mold once completed with lamination process
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications
- Record required activities in computer system
