Job Description

U.S. Waffle Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Vertical Wrapper Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining vertical packaging equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality finished products. The ideal candidate will monitor production lines, troubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and work closely with team members to meet daily production goals. This role plays a critical part in maintaining food safety and quality standards, including compliance with SQF, GMP, and HACCP requirements. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate vertical wrapping machines according to product specifications Adjust machine settings (film size, tension, tube size, etc.) to ensure proper operation Monitor production lines and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment Assist with changeovers, including moving materials and equipment Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality standards are met Communicate effectively with Production Leads and team members Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift Reduce waste and report any product or equipment issues Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations Ensure compliance with food safety standards (SQF, GMP, HACCP) Support team goals and contribute to a positive work environment Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred Basic math and mechanical skills required Ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve problems independently Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Good communication skills: bilingual is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50-70 lbs regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to work in hot, cold, and dusty environments Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed Why Join Us?
