Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Plastic Injection Molding Technician to join our manufacturing team. This vital role focuses on ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plastic injection molding machinery and related equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with plastics production processes, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. As a key contributor to our production line, you will help deliver high-quality plastic components through precision machine operation and continuous process improvement. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor plastic injection molding machines, ensuring optimal performance and product quality. Conduct routine inspections of molds, presses, robotic systems, and auxiliary equipment to prevent downtime. Perform troubleshooting on machinery such as CNC lathes, press brake machines, CNC systems, and industrial equipment to resolve operational issues swiftly. Utilize measurement tools including precision measuring instruments and dimensional measurement devices to verify product specifications and ensure quality standards are met. Assist with materials handling tasks using forklifts and hand tools to ensure proper storage and movement of raw materials and finished products. Follow safety protocols rigorously while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Support the assembly process when needed, applying basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to manufacturing specifications. Experience Proven experience in plastics injection molding or plastics extrusion within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotic systems, and industrial troubleshooting techniques. Hands-on knowledge of machining processes including CNC operations, machining with hand tools, and use of measurement (quality control) instruments for precision work. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering troubleshooting guides. Experience operating forklifts with proper certification preferred but not required. Knowledge of safety standards in an industrial setting along with adherence to safety protocols at all times. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and quality inspections in a fast-paced production environment. Pay:
From $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
