Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in machine operation, technical blueprint interpretation, and measurement will ensure the production of high-quality metal fabrications that meet strict safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling selection and machine calibration for each job. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately produce bent metal parts. Adjust machine parameters to achieve precise bends, maintaining tight tolerances using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment, including tooling changes, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring optimal machine performance. Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow, meet production deadlines, and uphold safety protocols during all machining activities. Conduct quality inspections throughout the bending process to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications; document inspection results accordingly. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards in production environments involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, forming machines, and other manufacturing equipment. Experience Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Familiarity with CNC programming concepts related to bending operations is preferred. Knowledge of measurement techniques using precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes. Experience working with various fabrication tools such as hand tools, tooling setups, and measuring devices. Understanding of safety standards in production environments involving machinery operation and metal fabrication processes. Basic math skills including shop math necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, and material requirements.
