In this role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in machine setup, tooling, and measurement will ensure that production meets quality standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative metal fabrication projects in a fast-paced environment committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Duties Set up and operate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and machine calibration for each job. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications to produce accurate metal parts. Measure finished components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify conformance to quality standards. Adjust machine parameters and tooling as needed to achieve desired bend angles and dimensions. Perform routine maintenance, safety checks, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to maximize uptime and safety compliance. Collaborate with team members on fabrication processes involving sheet metal, forming machines, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and other related machinery. Maintain detailed production logs, quality inspection records, and adherence to safety protocols throughout the manufacturing process. Qualifications Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools for quality control. Familiarity with CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, welding, forming machines, and other machining tools is highly desirable. Ability to read shop math and perform basic calculations related to measurement and fabrication tolerances. Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including proper machine operation techniques and safety protocol adherence. Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, hand tools, and other shop equipment safely when required. Mechanical aptitude combined with strong attention to detail ensures high-quality work output in sheet metal fabrication projects.
