Description:
Digital Printing Plate Maker OpSource has partnered with a printing and packaging company located in Spartanburg, SC.
Pay for the position:
$20.00 Shifts for the position: 3rd shift 11p-7a with the potential to be up to 12 hours, 7p-7a Job requirements for the position may include: Supports all activities in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and food safety management systems. Report any quality and/or food safety problems to personnel of authority to initiate action. Mental ability - must be able to read orders and set up the machine properly. Must be able to communicate orally with the team members and keep accurate records on their factory bags. Must be able to read a tape measure accurately and operate a calculator for basic mathematical computations. Must have good visual skills to perform inspections on the product and ensure ISO quality check procedures are followed. Must be able to climb up steps/ladders in order to retrieve certain plates or artwork files. Must be able to handle large sheets of photopolymer plate material, as well as 40 lb. containers of photopolymer resin and other chemicals. Must be able to transfer plates from each plate processing station to the next without physical limitations. Must work in a safe manner and follow all plant and department safety policies. Must ensure guards are in place. Observe hazards such as nip points and properly handle and label hazardous waste. Must support and maintain all activities related to Food Safety Management System. Complete the applicable machine center Master Cleaning schedule(s), checklist(s), and audit(s) related to the Food Safety Management System.
Qualifications for the position:
High school diploma or GED required Must be able to perform the essential functions of reading, writing, and basic mathematics at approximately a 10th grade level. Experience is necessary, and can be from working on similar equipment, such as a printing press. 1-2 years in Printing industry preferred. Knowledge of the printing industry Proficiency in MS Office Ability to perform basic math skills and be able to accurately use/read a ruler and calculator. Good mental and mechanical comprehension/ability. Good organizational skills. Ability to read and measure plates using a digital micrometer. Ability to read and understand a production schedule and job requirements. Good housekeeping skills are a must. Ability to check photopolymer supply inventories and maintain proper materials for equipment.
